A lot of excitement is in the air here. We will have Chef Peter’s two-day baking class and Chef Jim’s emulsion class, among a packed November calendar.
Relationships with our sister agencies here in the building are growing stronger. Fiscally we are OK and keeping a watchful eye on our own and our country’s economy.
Stop in anytime to see, feel and taste the changes the Community Culinary School of Charlotte has and is making in our students and alumni’s lives. CCSC is “Fighting Hunger While Creating Opportunity”. We could not do it with out your support.

A Satterfield milestone
May 19, 2010
It was peak hour in the kitchen, but everybody stopped for a minute to honor a rookie culinarian who is on his way.
Charles Satterfield of Class 35 has been employed in the culinary industry for six months. That meant he qualified for the gift for all graduates who succeed after graduating: a knife set provided by Piedmont Natural Gas.
Satterfield
was hired by Grateful Growers to do food preparation for the Harvest Moon
Grille, the orange trailer that makes stops at farmers markets and at
pedestrian spots downtown. His work has him in the Distribution Street
kitchen after Culinary School hours.
Congratulations to Charles Satterfield, and we look forward to seeing more Class 35 graduates back as they qualify for this recognition.
