INTO THE GARDEN: Students in Class 37 visited the Friendship Garden today, with Coordinator Henry Owen (green shirt) explaining the water collection system (at left) and other features of the demonstration garden. Students will be planting, harvesting, and meeting the garden's stars -- the thousands of worms making compost out of the vegetable scraps brought from the Distribution Street kitchen. Since the garden was first planted in April 2009, the herbs and other produce of the garden have often been harvested and used immediately in Culinary school classroom cooking exercises.
