Dorothea Blakeney of Class 34 was honored with a knife set by Executive Director Ron Ahlert and her fellow former graduates in an impromptu ceremony in the Distribution Street kitchen. Each Culinary school graduate qualifies for a knife set, sponsored by Piedmont Natural Gas, after working six months in the culinary industry. Blakeney works at Friendship Trays, which shares the Distribution Street kitchen with the school and Encore Catering.
